Let me state for the record that I am a Republican by primary voting ability only.
Otherwise I’d want no affiliation with that gang of losers, weaklings, cowards, and cuckolds.
One Party may use a Donkey, and the other an Elephant as their symbols, but trust me either way you vote you usually get a Jackass. The Elephant thing is two in one suit.
Let’s face it, in America today we have only two real choices, Democrat and Republican. Third Party candidates appeal to the gadfly, the libertarian, the idiot in the bar who can actually cite the constitution, and tell you the difference between the Bill of Rights and the Amendments. He is usually over-educated, went to Johns Hopkins night school and holds a job making forty-seven thousand dollars a year. Single, he sits most nights in the bar and goes home alone to his cat, a Mr. something. It’s always a Mr. something with that type. Mr. Biggles, Mr. Stripes, Mr. Wiggles, as much as a libertarian as I am myself I cannot label as such because I want no part of being associated with “that guy”. Well educated, and dumb as your ass at the same time. What a combination.
And I simply could never, ever, not in this lifetime, be a Democrat. The older I’ve gotten the worse they have gotten. “Woke” is purely a product of the Democrats. DEI wouldn’t exist absent a Democrat alive and in power. I loathe Democrats with the power of a thousand suns. At this particular point in time they’ve driven me so far off to the extent I wouldn’t bend to lift one from the gutter. I’ve had it with Democrats to an extent you wouldn’t, and couldn’t believe. They ruin everything they touch. For exhibit “A” see Detroit, for exhibit “B” see Baltimore, for exhibit “C” see San Francisco, I could go on but we’d run out of letters in the alphabet.
But the fact the Democrats are completely wrong about absolutely everything is just about the only reason to ever join the Republican Party.
Otherwise you find yourself married to a bunch of sell-outs who are owned by special interests, who bow to AIPAC on command, who are bought-and-paid-for completely, and who fear their own shadow. They have no spine, no convictions, no power, and no ability to gain or keep power. This should be the textbook definition of a Republican. Any description should begin with “spineless”, always.
Frankly I hate Republicans even more than I do Democrats, because they claim to represent me and let me down at every turn. There isn’t a defense spending bill they won’t rush to not only sign but trumpet, there isn’t a bank account they won’t empty for Israel at any point in time, and they genuflect to all Wall Street corruption by default.
Right now we have Gaetz and Massie and that is just about it. We also have Marjorie Taylor Greene, but her vitriol gets a bit loud and ridiculous at times. Maybe add Elise Stefanik, and JD Vance, although he is a war mongering idiot. Past those few we’ve been sold down the river from all top Republicans including the homespun and schmaltzy Senator John Kennedy, who will sound reasonable for five minutes and then vote to spend, spend, spend. He’d talk to you as if you were both on an episode of Hee-Haw and then send your last dollar to Ukraine. What a phony asshole. A playdoh-faced, homespun, Southern Fried, piece of human garbage.
Trump is no pure Republican, he is a lifelong Democrat with slightly Left leaning principles who knows he has to appeal to the Christian Right to gain favor. When he took office the first term he gathered top Republicans around him such as Reince Preibus and frankly ruled the way any middle-of-the-road purchased up Republican would have ruled anyway. He never really pursued building the wall with any real gusto after he got elected.
And just think, he was such a threat to the “Deep State” he signed up Gina Haspel to run the CIA, a career spook who shouldn’t be anywhere near the levers of power in this world, and signed up Christopher Wray to run the FBI, probably his biggest mistake ever in running our country. Christopher Wray is one of the most vile and dishonest people to ever enter inside the DC beltway and that is really saying something. He should be in prison for ten lifetimes. And Trump put him into office. Jesus. Think about that. The man works overtime right now to keep Trump out of office.
My vote and support for Trump really is the lesser of two evils. I have to vote to keep Democrats out of office. It is a holy calling. I am saving humanity keeping Democrats away from the levers of any real power. They are the worst possible creatures alive when they get near elected office. They’ll stomp on all our rights, our freedoms, and out tax money and seize every last one of our liberties in the name of some “greater public good”.
You simply cannot allow a Democrat to be elected to any position anywhere, ever.
Which explains any support I might have for Trump.
Frankly with his latest statements on a complete support for Israel, and denigrating the Palestinians and not allowing a real discussion for a two-state solution in the Middle East, he is flirting with losing my vote. Anyone giving even tacit support for the genocide over there doesn’t deserve to win.
But keeping Democrats from holding power trumps everything. As I said it’s a holy calling, it’s self-preservations, it is spiritual. One must actively work right down the voting card to ensure that Democrats can hold no office in the land, none.
Democrats cannot be trusted in any way, shape, or form, they are a walking disaster of ideas and intentions. Left to their own they will crumble a great American city to rubble, ruin the water, and degrade everything into a crime ridden mess. For proof see exhibits A, B, C, etc. listed above.
In any world where I was allowed to rule every LA Democrat would be forced to move to Watts, Compton, or South Central. No Democrats could be allowed to live in the Hills, not in Beverly Hills or Bel Air. You want your policies, live with your policies. No gates for you. Live with your people, live with your programs, live the tenets of your faith and conviction. Enjoy the city streets of LA. Echo Park would be off limits, unless we can move all the homeless back into the park, then you can have Echo Park and the lake. Live in the filth and degradation your cause. Good luck with that. Sorry Nancy Pelosi, no more Sub Zero for you in the best neighborhood in San Francisco, your ass is headed to Oakland. All of San Francisco’s population would be moved to Oakland. Bon Voyage! All New York Democrats would be moved to Bedford-Stuyvesant, and placed throughout the Bronx. They could have Queens too. Manhattan would be off limits and particularly Westchester County. No Democrats allowed. Go live with the results of your programs and beliefs. See ya, and we will send a bill for the moving trucks.
By now in reading these posts for over 400 entries you might have guessed I was a Trump supporter. But I am not some MAGA flag waving type. And Trump would never be some “first choice” for me, he is merely the cudgel I see we need to beat the Democrats over the head, and beat them hard. In truth I find Trump the person repulsive. He still owes me 1/2 for a shipment of wall vinyl to one of his hotels in Atlantic City back in the 1990’s. I know how personally awful he is. But as ridiculous as he is, he is a thousand percent better than any Democrat. Ever.
The fact the Democrats just loathe Trump just makes me want him even more. The bigger their rage, the more I wish I could vote for him more than once. The bigger the Democrats tears, the more I find myself embracing Trump. By the time I read Rob Reiner or Stephen King on Twitter rant about Trump, Trump, Trump, I am ready to defend him no end. I’ll bet when Rob Reiner finds himself driving through South Central he locks the car doors. Don’t you think he does?
I’m old, sixty-six, and guess what? I’ve never seen a Democratic government program work. Ever. Not in my lifetime. The only program I can ever remember that worked was the GI Bill, and that came before I was born.
From the “Great Society” of 1964 on, the creation of HUD, Homeland Security, Department of Education, all of it has failed us all miserably.
Life under Democrat rule is one big Department of Motor Vehicles. A waste of time and money, and a complete and utter wreck.
I’d actually prefer to be a Libertarian, join a party whose goal was less government intrusion into our lives, and to have a real third party choice. I really would. I’ve grown to hate Mitch McConnell and Mitt Romney in equal measure to every Democrat alive. I despise this Mike Johnson who leads our party, he is the definition of completely worthless milquetoast. he makes Mike Pence appear tough and foreboding. The only job Mike Johnson should be able to qualify for is to star in the movie of the life story of Wally Cox.
So though I am a Republican so I can vote in their primaries for the lesser of two evils, I’d be better off emotionally and in thought were I to become a Libertarian. Their ideas appeal to me far better than the Republicans. Frankly I am an isolationist, feel as if we need less regulation and more manufacturing on shore, more tariffs, even though I am about to try to start an import business, and want less intrusive Federal government and more power to the states and local governments. Closer to home rule. Far, far, less Federal power over us all. I want minimal Federal government.
I’d like to be a libertarian, but I can’t cite the Amendments to the Bill of Rights chapter and verse, I can never remember which one, the Constitution or Bill of Rights that begins “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, ….” and which one starts “We the people of the United States in order to form a more perfect union…”. Sorry, but I’ve gotten those two mixed up since Civics class in eighth grade.
And I’d never own a cat.
It's better to judge Libertarians by their policy positions rather than by their life choices and persona. To do otherwise is using the Democrats' playbook.
