The cancer on America is easily identified, has tentacles into every big city, small town, and even little burgh in our country. It has metastasized and morphed into a feeder system for rot, degradation, and filth throughout the entire United States of America.
The American people fund this cancer, this rot, with bigger dollars than just about any other institution, maybe the most dollars.
And here is the rub. They have been brainwashed to do so gleefully. The average American idiot defends the cancer. The average American idiot on both sides of our national divide offer full and complete support. They embrace the cancer. They praise the cancer. They even fight for the cancer to be better funded.
And they stand on picket line to ensure that the cancer has no opposition.
I joked the other day that the “mind virus” was in our home when the wife started down a path over “eggs are bad”, having listened to one of those ridiculous food podcasts.
Well the “cancer” is in every one of our homes, it is pervasive and all encompassing, it reaches into just about every home in America.
The cancer is the Teachers Union and teachers in America.
They have far too much power, are overpaid to a degree that is criminal, have become an arm of the Democratic Party, and are responsible for being a feeder system for every bad movement we are dealing with in the United States right now from CRT, to DEI, to the LGBTQIA+ movement, to support for the criminals in BLM, to indoctrinating the children with every far Left Wing program or idea that exists today.
And here is the dirtiest of all secrets. They fail at their actual “job” completely. The children aren’t learning. The children are failing miserably. In our major cities no one, not a student in any building is proficient in any of the subjects being taught.
The Teachers and Teachers Unions are so powerful they have the ability to reduce standards and practices to the extent that if you used 1930 as a baseline for measuring the success of actually educating students in content you would find that a graduating twelfth grade student of today would actually know less than a 1930 fourth grade student.
They have managed to change curriculum into worthless and meaningless subjects that hold no future utility, gone are history as we always knew history being taught, civics is gone, “shop” and home-ed are gone, and they teach zero financial literacy. The kids graduate not understanding how to balance a checkbook. Some are so stupid they think since they have checks left in the book they are able to still write checks absent any money left. “I still have checks in the book, what do you mean I can’t write one out for money”?
They are no longer educating children in our school systems. At all. It is most glaring in the inner city schools of our major American cities. But given the watered down curriculum, lack of accountability, and a system that ignores the children completely in favor of teachers needs, we are graduating entire generations of functional illiterates.
Don’t believe me?
Ask colleges, ask corporations who hire right from high school. All have had to install remedial educational courses to bring high school graduates up-to-speed.
The biggest lie told to the American people of any kind today is “teachers are underpaid”.
Do you have a pension?
No?
Teachers do, the unions make certain of that.
And Teachers today, especially in the major cities, are seeing salaries for a nine month work year that threaten a hundred grand or more. Administrators make that and way more. In cities where the measurable actual education of the graduating students is near zero-point-zero.
If you failed completely at your job would you be able to keep the job, the pension, and the near hundred grand salary?
In my own old hometown of Baltimore, Maryland it costs well over 20 thousand dollars to educate a single student. With thirty children per class we are spending six hundred grand per class, and 7.2 million for that class to get through twelve years of schooling. And far less than ten percent are graduating with competency in any discipline. They may have barely passed in math but are not proficient in any other subject. 7.2 million for 30 kids who have close to zero proficiency. Think about that.
And yet the American people, especially American women will scream at the top of their lungs “teachers are underpaid and under appreciated”. They get passionate about it.
They are emotionally insane.
The Teachers Unions have wrecked our country more than any other institution.
The sole purpose of the Teachers Union is to benefit the Teachers Union.
They have zero interest in their actual function which is to teach our children.
In the worst of cities, Chicago, they have created a Democrat feedback loop of corruption where the Teachers Union votes straight Blue, the Blue gets elected and over-funds the Teachers Union with your tax dollars, and the Teachers Union tithes ten percent back in donations to Blue campaigns to keep the loop in action. While you the taxpayer pays. Your money, their benefit. Your kids comes out functionally illiterate.
It is a perpetual doom loop. Eventually the citizens and administrators in Chicago will become so corrupt and be so stupid from being educated in a system that has abandoned all actual education that collapse is inevitable. And it is quite probable that the thing that actually collapses the entire system is the taxation to keep enriching the Teachers Union becomes such a burden the entire system comes crashing down on everyone.
I don’t want to hear about how your own lovely daughter is some teacher that just loves her students, spends her own money on pencils, and works herself to the bone in a job that doesn’t pay that much and she struggles “on a teacher’s salary”.
First, her salary is higher than other entry level positions, and once in the Union gains raises and bumps and holidays not enjoyed by the corporate work force, not to mention three months off a year. And she has a pension. No one in the private sector has a pension any longer. And if little wonderful daughter is employed in some city school, she has an elevated salary overall because Teachers Unions are very powerful.
The Teachers Union and school system is the pipeline of the Left to indoctrinate our population in CRT, DEI, “Equity”, all things rainbow mafia, support for the transgender movement, in fact promotion of the transgender movement which is causing a contagion right now, it is a pipeline of absolute shit that is destroying our country from within.
And every single household in the US is funding our own demise.
I can tell you this, I was fortunate.
I worked myself to death, and so did the wife, so that our children did not have to attend public schools. We avoided them like the plague. We spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars on private educations so that our family could avoid the madness, the indoctrination, and the complete lack of actual education.
Which in turn has fueled our own rise generation by generation. I did far better in life economically than my own welder father. And my children in turn are doing way, way better than we have been able to do.
And I can guarantee you it is because we avoided the pitfall of public education.
I saw it first hand.
I went to an all boys private prep school with a rigorous curriculum. I then went to Loyola College of Maryland, which had just an incredibly hard curriculum. The tests were just as difficult as you can imagine. To do well in these institutions required hours and hours of study.
Then as I floundered in those late college years due to addictions with Pimlico Race Track, and the bottle as a part-time bartender, I was forced financially to attend the University of Baltimore public college.
Good Holy God. What a rumpus room. Freshman year at the all-boys private school was tougher than the third year U of B, and we learned more in high school. The curriculum was so watered down and at level stupid I would find myself laughing out loud at lesson plans and the teacher standing there talking. The student “competition” in the class was easy to stratify. You could immediately tell who went to a public school and who hadn’t. All the public school kids were struggling with what I found to be a substandard, almost joke of a lesson plan. The few private school kids in the class breezed through absent any work at all.
The private school education in America is so far superior to anything happening in public school, I don’t give a crap about your “magnet schools”, and “charter schools”, the private school education is so superior that it is ridiculous.
And don’t ask me ask our biggest Democratic politicians, the ones who support the Teachers Unions the most.
Where did Obama send his daughters to school in DC?
Where did Nancy Pelosi send her children?
Oh! Those biggest supporters of the Teachers Unions and public education in the world sent their kids to private schools.
Wow, maybe they were on to something, huh?
To break our current cycle of going mad, and going down the drain in the US today we need to break the grip of the Teachers Union on schools.
If that means vouchers for education where parents can select the institution of their choice to give schools some competition, fine.
I know that has some drawbacks as some new schools would be chartered with a curriculum that some would find disturbing, think BLM staring their own schools to educate black children, that would be a complete disaster of curriculum by Ibram X Kendi and Robin DiAngelo “white man bad”, but if people had the chance to send their children to an established private school institution verses the current public system, well, it can’t get any worse.
This should be a national crusade. To destroy the Teachers Unions. Completely.
And for people to begin to understand, if it costs twenty grand to educate a single child in Baltimore City and more, where is all that money going?
Oh, to the teachers, faculty, and administration. Those poor, low paid, unappreciated Teachers.
Wake Up America. No don’t get woke, just wake up to the fact that public schooling in America today is a complete and utter joke, that Teachers Unions have become a leech on society, and worse they are indoctrinating all into the worst ideas to ever become implemented in American society.
The “cancer” is spread into every jurisdiction in America and is inescapable.
It must be eradicated.
The “Chicago loop” of corruption exists in your town if you have unionized teachers.
We must destroy it if we are to have any ability to regain our country.
We must press on two fronts, home schooling for those who can’t afford private schools, and vouchers across the country to create competition. As long as the competition isn’t some newly formed “Branch Davidian” religious nut school, or BLM created school of white hate. Look the Catholics have hundreds of years of success in educating children. They should be eligible for vouchers. We don’t need a bunch of new “schools” created chasing the new found voucher revenue.
What we need is to destroy the Teachers Unions and to begin again to educate children.
The system we have is failing us all across the land.
It does not benefit our children, it benefits the Teachers Union.
If it benefitted our children, then Obama and Pelosi would have sent their kids to a public school.
That they did not is an education in and of itself.
Does anyone else remember the "Exodus 2000" movement? It was an initiative to pull Christian children out of public schools. I watched hopefully, but it never materialized.
I homeschooled my third child for the second half of 1st grade, and later from 4th grade to 12th.
The socialization group my child & I belonged to was welcoming of new homeschoolers. We each exited public schools with outrageous horror stories, but in order to remain positive and forward-looking, no discussion of this was allowed at meetings.
My children's schools in a southern exurb, a university town, the teachers created hostile environments. Some years -- read teachers -- were worse than others. I was a self-employed single mom, and my homeschooler had trouble riding in the car. Looking back, I know I made the right decision, and I thank God for that.
These days most teachers I happen to cross paths with are vocally unhappy with their job, looking for but unable to find something else that pays as well.
The teachers union played such a pivotal role during Covid, making sure that the kids didn’t go back to school.
