An offhand observation. I read this week where smoking cigarettes is down to 11% of our population. Yet in just about every photo, or interview of a major celebrity I see they smoke. I wonder what the correlation is between smokers, and actors.
I’ve noticed the same thing with heroin addicts. It’s a one-to-one ratio, every heroin addict I’ve ever seen interviewed is a smoker. Every single one.
Joe Rogan interviews Russell Crowe in a recent podcast, and Crowe smokes throughout the interview. It is anecdotal, but it seems every big time actor smokes.
Yet if it’s only 11% of the general population, why does it seem the majority of actors smoke? Or heroin addicts?
What is the connection between nicotine addiction and the traits required to be an actor or actress? Is there some connection between nicotine addiction and susceptibility toward a heroin addiction?
There has to be some correlation in both. The statistics skew way higher than the general population.

The way in which the FBI handled the “Hunter Laptop” should be of concern to every American. The laptop clearly shows that the Biden family was involved in influence peddling in a major way, and selling out America’s interests to foreign nations for self-aggrandizement. The laptop also shows a life of debauchery, with the potential for foreign nations to blackmail the first family, given Hunter’s predilections for drugs, prostitutes, and strippers.
The FBI had the laptop for nearly two years before it became an 11TH hour scandal just weeks before the 2020 election.
And yet the FBI made no attempt to charge anyone involved. And in fact, they went to the online companies and asked them to reduce visibility on articles about the laptop, so as to make it a non-issue in the election. They went as far as to call the laptop “possibly linked to Russian disinformation”, when they knew concretely it was real.
The CIA was no better, they had 51 former intelligence officials sign onto a full page ad claiming the laptop had “all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign”.
These were lies when they were told. Known lies, intentional lies. Deceitful lies meant to influence an election.
Our CIA and FBI went out of their way to lie to the American people to influence an election in favor of the Democrats.
And they clearly went out of their way to avoid charges, serious charges, as exposed by the laptop and voluminous information found there on Hunter’s overseas activities.
There is a clear rot in our CIA, and FBI. And someone should be answering as to why charges were not brought. Or at least activities exposed so as to decrease the ability of foreign nations to blackmail the Biden family into submission through a release of photos, and other laptop information that might either incriminate or embarrass the Biden family.
Yet there is no national hue and cry to find out why the FBI and CIA went out of their way to protect the Biden family. Which clearly happened.
Were they using their own blackmail campaign against our elected leader so that no budget request was denied, no personnel request denied, so both agencies had free reign to do as they pleased absent having to answer to any or all authority?
Why does it appear that our FBI and CIA was nakedly corrupt in their handling of this laptop and yet years later, no one has been held accountable, and no one in the mainstream media is curious at all about the story any longer?

Deregulation of industries has caused a consolidation in every vertical that has created not only “too big to fail” institutions, it has caused behemoths that can fund the politicians and flood them with dollars that corrupt the legislation and political process.
Big Pharma has become a giant so large it controls the FDA, the NIH, and floods scientists, and the medical profession with so much cash it can dictate approvals, fund grants designed to support a pre-conceived narrative, and has grown so large and in charge that we can no longer exert control over the industry.
Scientists who come up with data in support of “climate change” are well funded, those that create models showing there is no “climate change” are starved out. So naturally we get more models and articles in support of “climate change”; follow the money.
If the incestuous relationship in shared patent revenue between scientists at the NIH, and the drug companies, as exposed when Fauci became famous, doesn’t alarm you, then you aren’t paying attention.
Exactly what drugs are being pumped into the foods we eat daily, and what is their effect on us all? Are the regular foods we eat contributing to obesity, the rise in diabetes, the rise in autism, is there any connection or correlation?
What is the current process by which the FDA creates approvals?
God forbid it should be the same as the health industry, where the industry writes the Obamacare bill and Nancy Pelosi says “we have to pass the bill to see what is in it”.
Such corporate manipulation of our system cannot be good for the average American.
We need a return to smaller. We need to break up big industry. Starting with Google, moving onto Big Pharma, and definitely with the banks. At this point our banks are “too big to fail”, and any one nationwide chain that goes upside down on commercial loans could bring down our entire banking system. Guaranteed by the FDIC.
Deregulation is at the heart of our current problems. It has created systems so large they corrupt all. They begin to own our politicians, own our political system, and to exert an outsized influence in our lives, and not necessarily for the better.
Over the next 50 years we need a return to smaller entities. Quicker, more nimble, less influential institutions that serve the people, not themselves.

Apparently the US Open tennis event is back again.
Tennis is dead.
No one cares.
Tennis hasn’t been popular since the 1970’s. And this pickle ball craze has murdered the sport entirely.
Go ahead, name 5 current tennis professionals who are US citizens. I’ll wait.

Are you having the same problem as me? You invite the now grown adult children over for dinner, and the problem is they don’t want to eat they meals you prepare?
The same meals they grew up eating. It makes no sense.
I make a garlic mushroom cream sauce that is so good you’d eat a leather shoe if I put the sauce over one. My idea of a nice Tuesday night meal with the kids over would be some mashed potatoes, a side of steamed asparagus, and chicken cutlets breaded with Ritz crackers, and smothered in that mushroom cream sauce. With a nice bottle of Nickel and Nickel red, or maybe the Ferrari Carano.
If my children showed up and I served that meal they’d call Grub Hub for salads. They turn a nose at mashed potatoes as if they were poison. Are you kidding me? I’m Irish, I could live on potatoes. Of course I add butter, parmesan, sour cream, salt and pepper, the mashed potatoes I make are absolutely delicious. Sometimes I’ll add bacon bits. I can make a decent twice-baked as well. The kids give me a look as I eat the skin right along with everything else, let me tell you, it’s not a good look they give me.
I’ve had to change up meal preparation. Now I’m making Greek salads, with Feta. I hate Feta, and Goat Cheese. Tastes like ass. But it’s the only way the children will sit and dine with us now, the meal has to be “healthy”. I’m trying to swallow Kalamata olives and Goat Cheese and odd lettuce mixtures while dreaming of garlic mushroom cream sauce.
We have grown entire generations of humans here in the US that won’t eat decent, quality, stick-to-the-ribs, meals that have served us all well for hundreds of years.
People under forty hear “pot roast” and gag. God knows what they are feeding the grandchildren. No wonder these younger generations are into the “colon cleanse”. They are all eating like rabbits. It’s all lettuces, carrots, vegetables, and cheese.
Where is the protein?
I say we bring back Prime Rib to every menu in American restaurants. Big, thick slices of medium rare Prime Rib that hang off a normal plate and make you think of Fred Flintstone. With a mandatory oversized baked potato with sour cream and chives. And a quarter stick of butter slowly melting as they bring it to your table.
Now that would make America great again.

Is it just me, or has television become so good at covering a sporting event you’d rather just sit home and watch the game, instead of going to the stadium? The number of cameras, replays, the size of the screen. Sitting in a chair in the living room provides a better experience than going to the game in the 1980’s.
Besides, all I see on Youtube are stadium fights. People just wailing on each other in the cheap seats. I don’t need to be around all that nonsense.
Sure, sure, sure, I used to have season tickets to the Ravens games. I used to tailgate on lot H under the overpass, bring out the grill, cook from Ten AM until past noon. Drink like a fish and waddle over the bridge with the crowd and into the stadium.
But that was all a young man’s game.
I prefer the living room at this point in time. I don’t mind the commercials, at this age I’ve got to go more often anyway.

I don’t have Instagram, or Tik Tok. I’m aware of what they are, and how they work, I just don’t care to participate in the mindless activity on those sites.
I do have X, or Twitter. And I’ve become amazed at the number of people who now post on X as if it is Instagram, or Tik Tok. Grown adult women who post bikini pictures, or post pictures of themselves in skimpy outfits, and ask people to rate them, or ask for replies about their appearance. Many seem to say things like “I’m recently divorced, tell me if I look datable again”.
Are these people for real?
X, or Twitter is a platform for communication, discussion, interesting and stimulating podcasts and videos.
X, or Twitter, isn’t Only Fans for Christ’s sake.
I want to reply to these postings, “no wonder you are divorced, you are obviously so self-absorbed that you love yourself and attention more than you could ever love a spouse. If all you have is your looks in life, and no talents, you aren’t going to get very far”.
And these women appear to be in large numbers. Posting after posting. Do they not understand that being pretty and attractive isn’t unusual in this day and age?
Keep that crap on those other sites, Insta, and Tik Tok.
X is a more serious site, it’s not for soft core porn.

Please, dear God, make all information flow about Ben Affleck and JLo cease and desist. Make it stop Lord, please make it stop.
Every article I’m forced to even see, every little tidbit of information broadcast that I hear walking through a room, is robbing me of very valuable brain cells. I don’t have many left.
These are clearly both despicable people, awful, self-absorbed people. They’ve created dysfunctional families and people all around them with issues because of what rotten humans they are. Please, make them go away, out of the spotlight, away.

I’m not a Dallas Cowboys fan, I am all in the tank for the Baltimore Ravens, but I have to say that there is no more delusional fan base than the Dallas fans. They have no chance to win a Super Bowl. None. Not with that coach and quarterback. Not ever.
One of the delicious things about being a football fan is not only relishing in your own wins, but to rejoice in the misery of opponents. Watching Jerry Jones see another season go down the drain as he ages and realizes he doesn’t have many more left is just wonderful. The man will never realizes he will pay in losses for his massive ego. He couldn’t stand Jimmy Johnson getting any credit for those old Super Bowl wins, so Jimmy had to go. And they haven’t won since.
The quarterback is a limited talent, the coach is brain dead. They find ways to lose, not ways to win. Somewhere around the third week of December, with their season in trouble, and “Jerruh Jones” sitting in the box realizing he put all his marbles on the wrong gang of idiots to lead his team, that grimace, that face he makes, well, it is priceless. The man is a narcissistic greed head and deserves all the misery life has to offer. “How ‘bout them Cowboys”.
*
Mark Cuban, also a Dallas owner, is the same human inside as “Jerrah Jones”, and also deserves all the misery to be found in life. I hope as long as he is associated with the Mavericks he loses, and loses, and loses. If that know-it-all went bankrupt tomorrow it would be living proof to me of a God in Heaven.

I have an unhealthy relationship with paper towels, and paper plates. I am possibly the single laziest person on the face of the earth. When I cook I’ll avoid using pots, and added pans, and attempt to create the meal with the least possible utensils and containers so as to minimize having to either hand wash, or stock the dishwasher.
The same holds true for using paper goods. I’ll use a paper plate to cut vegetables just so I don’t have to wash down a cutting board. I’ll peel a potato over a wad of paper towel so I can just wrap it all up and throw it away.
I often wonder if it is all tied to my modest upbringing. And whether or not the very rich even have paper plates in their homes. I’ll try to eat off paper plates, even stacking five at a time for strength, just to avoid having to wash a dish. If the wife is involved in the meal, I’ll use real plates. She is not as cretinous as I am. She was well bred, I am a mongrel.
I’d hate to see what we pay for paper towels annually. It is probably five times the average family.

DEI, CRT, all things “Woke” must be destroyed, and eliminated from our society in general. No more “training sessions”, no more bullshit about “White privilege”.
Who do you think has more privilege in America right now, Obama’s daughters, or some White kids in Appalachia born to working class parents?
The whole thing about White privilege is bullshit. It’s class. It’s family wealth, which creates influence.
Put Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X Kendi out to pasture with their nonsense.
Has anyone figured out where the 75 million he wasted up in Boston went?

I would believe nothing, absolutely nothing, that comes out of any “official” investigation on the Trump assassination attempt.
My trust in official government agencies is zero. It’d be less than zero if that were possible.

Oh man, it’s almost here. Pro Football season. Ravens. Ravens!
My brain is already quivering like a jello mold.
What election? It’s football season man. See, I’m a brain addled member of the proletariat, no matter how much insight I have into politics.
*
An online personality I greatly admire is under siege in her industry. For publishing, rather vocally, her very real and Right leaning political beliefs. Which has caused her to suffer from revenue loss in her very “Woke” industry. Sadly she is a supreme talent, and should never be forced to suffer this way.
I’ve lost it all before, I spent 35 plus years selling hotel furnishings. Then the internet just murdered the business. Sure I got depressed. Sure I moped, and felt self-pity. But reality dictates you can’t wallow. You have to get up off the floor, dust off, and go like Hell to try something new. Fight back.
I didn’t grow up dreaming that one day I could sell Amish made furniture. Ever. But here I am. That is what I do to earn. And you know what, I do enjoy the Hell out of it. Great people to represent and work with. Lovely people. Who make a great product to sell.
Sometimes life demands you start a new chapter. And you must embrace that new chapter. Leave the old behind. It hurts. It can be a painful process. But tears, and fears, they don’t produce a dollar.
Can’t keep the lights on with a bank full of self-pity.
The self-made need to know, in their heart, they did it once, they can do it again. I forget who said there are no great third acts in American life. But F that, there are as many acts as you want to perform in this play of life we are all going through.
Failure is a learning process, not a stain on your career. ABC, always be closing? ABMF, always be moving forward. That is a pneumonic to live by.
Get down and stay down? You are done. Change paths. You might enjoy the journey even more.
Life lessons from a complete failure. But hey, all the kids are attractive, successful, and doing very well.

Five hundred posts. What on earth was I doing before writing almost every day?
If you read regularly, you have no idea how much I appreciate you. No idea at all.

Oh, and in case you haven’t noticed, Kamala Harris is an empty suit cackling hen absent all principles, morals, convictions, and thought. Seriously.
I don’t say that lightly. I only say it because it is true.
