All optimism for waking up next Wednesday morning is gone. All hope and enthusiasm dampened. Even a resounding victory will ring hollow.
As I sit here I still faithfully believe that Donald J. Trump will be voted into office as our President-elect come next Tuesday.
It is my opinion that there was never any groundswell of sudden support for a Kamala Harris Presidency, and that all the thrust of attention when she was named to replace Joe Biden early on was manufactured by holding rallies in conjunction with existing concerts.
They created the false illusion of enthusiasm for Kamala Harris by staging rallies that were just glommed onto concerts that held appeal to the base. If you are holding a concert for a popular black artist in center city Atlanta, and add Kamala as a front-ended speaker, claiming the entire event is a Presidential campaign, you are going to fill the stadium with arduous Kamala proponents and make it appear she has a surge of support. When in point-of-fact everyone there would have still been there for the existing concert, absent any concern for Kamala Harris at all.
From this perch I would say that Kamala Harris couldn’t gain even one delegate in an all Democratic Primary, she polled her own Party at less than one percent. How then could it have been possible to be named as Joe Biden’s sudden successor, and overnight find overwhelming Party support? To be able to fill stadiums with enthusiastic backers?
So I am very, very skeptical that Kamala Harris can somehow grow her support to exceed fifty percent of the voting public in a general election when she couldn’t obtain even one percent, or one delegate, in an all Democratic Primary.
No, I believe sitting here less than a week out that we will elect Donald J. Trump as our next President of the United States of America. He has the enthusiasm on his side, and the closer we get to the election the more it appears Kamala Harris is fading.
The energy of her campaign also feels manufactured right now. The statements the campaign makes ring hollow, there seems to be a disconnect from their views and our reality. From her canned speeches, lack of authenticity, movements, and rallies, it all seems to lack a genuine feel. As if they have bussed in federal and state employee union members to cheer her on, because a day in the sunshine at a Kamala rally beats a day at the menial job. All paid actors and not true supporters.
So if I am confident of a Donald J. Trump win, then why the malaise?
Because when we wake up on Wednesday we will still have “Morning Joe and Mika”. We will still have “The View”. We will still have Dana Bash, Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, Joy Reid, Jake Tapper. Every evening talk show from Stephen Colbert, to Jimmy Kimmel, and including Bill Maher and John Oliver, will still have a Far Left activist featured, with a monologue screed that is anti-Trump, anti-Republican, and all the same “awful” will spew from the cable channels from morning until evening on a 24/7 loop.
There will be no soul-searching from even one of them as to how Trump was elected once again despite their hourly drumbeat against all things Trump now, before the election.
There will be no mea-culpa “how did I get things so wrong”. There will be no self-examination from the mainstream media as to how they’ve gone so far out of lockstep with the average American.
There will only be an all day rant against all things Trump and MAGA all day, every day, except they will turn up the volume to an “11”.
If just prior to the election they’ve verbalized their hatred by saying we are all Deplorable Garbage Nazi’s, after another Trump win, what is left? Where exactly do they all go from here?
There will be no reflection. There will be no “deep dive” into determining how out-of-touch the mainstream media has become from an entire movement amongst the middle class in revolt against the establishment.
All of the mainstream media, and in particular those I’ve listed here, will wail at the top of their lungs about every single Trump action as he assumes the Presidency.
Day one when he attempt to begin to replace sitting Pentagon Generals, dismantle leadership in the CIA, FBI, and NSA, the mainstream media will go into hysterical shrieks and the word of the day, everyday from inauguration day on, will be “abuse”.
Abuse.
An abuse of office, an abuse of the Presidency, an abuse against the Federal Government, an abuse against traditions, an abuse against decorum, an abuse against everything America stands for. Abuse, abuse, abuse.
Abuse of power.
Abuse of office.
Abuse of the Constitution.
Donald J. Trump guilty of abuse. Abuse of the American people. Abuse of the immigrants. Abuse of the institutions.
Abuse, abuse, abuse.
Should Democrats somehow retain the House they will begin impeachment proceedings within a week of Trump taking the oath of office.
Trump will be guilty of crimes against the American system of Government, Trump will be guilty of abuse of his own administration.
The current powers-that-be will fight Trump tooth-and-nail at every turn.
The mainstream media will become hysterical at the removal of one General. When Trump attempt to sack them all at once there will be a hue and cry from official Washington, DC that Trump cannot be allowed to run the executive branch of government that the people elected him to run. That he cannot act as Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces, his actions “too radical”, too “anti-American”.
You will hear the howls of opposition amplified every hour of the day on cable news.
Treasonous. Tyrant. Dictator. Illegitimate President.
I can hear them all now, “This illegitimate President in an unprecedented action of abuse of office, today…”
You can hear it too.
Those words will flow from a Dana Bash or Jake Tapper so easily it’ll be as if they are ordering from Grub Hub. “Oh, and add the guacamole side, yes I know it’s another Two-Fifty”. “President Trump in an abuse of office today….”
How that very racist Joy Reid even has a job on television every night is an insult to America. The racist crap she spews against whites on a nightly basis is ridiculous.
And even if Trump is elected next week signaling America is tired, so very tired, of all the animosity, the screeching, the vitriol and venom, the same cast of DNC mouthpiece assholes will all appear on the screen all day, every day, come next Wednesday.
Can someone at the FCC tell me what ever happened to the “Fairness Doctrine”?
Because for the life of me I can find no show on network television, cable, or streaming that would be the pro-Republican equivalent of “The View”. From what I’ve seen of “The View” it is an hour long commercial for the DNC denigrating all things Republican, praising all things Democrat, and just eviscerating Donald J. Trump on loop.
I saw a statistic last week, saying 85% of Trump coverage by the media was negative. While 79% of coverage of Kamala Harris was positive. These figures have to be wrong, as my own experience is 100%. All coverage of Trump has cast him in a negative light, and all coverage of Kamala Harris has been glowing in praise. And that is even if you include “Fox News”.
If Kamala Harris was a “done deal” then the Los Angeles Times, and Washington Post do not fail to endorse her. They’d never want to open up a new administration on the wrong foot. They’d never want to get called onto the carpet by a New Democratic administration.
So from where I sit all signs point to a Trump victory. I do pray that comes to fruition. I honestly do not think we can afford another Democratic Presidency, their spending habits are far too out-of-control. There seriously is no end to their grift.
If Kamala is elected my bet would be that just over three years into her administration the economy comes crashing down on us all. With no amount of printing more money being able to avert complete disaster. Pension debts, Social Security debts, the cost of allowing so many illegals into the US, the cost of servicing our existing thirty-six trillion in debt, all will conspire to crash Wall Street, devalue our dollar, and bring America back to 1929.
I seriously do not believe things can continue on this way. In reality there is no four hundred billion to hand out to Ukraine. And in a new Kamala administration that tries to print another four hundred billion to pump into a war, or social programs, the inflation it causes will collapse our dollar.
Trump’s proposal to cut government spending, to me, is the only answer.
But his election alone will not be an answer to our divide. Because the same hysterical DNC parrots will still occupy every seat on every news set in “entertainment” and the mainstream media.
They aren’t going away.
We need an America where Dana Bash and Jake Tapper are thrown off-air permanently. Where their voices are never heard from again on screen. They all collectively need to be relegated to wherever Don Lemon has gone. Exiled to creating Youtube videos that no one watches. Forced to wonder how they are going to ever replicate that large cable contract when so many are now out-of-work.
Did you even miss Don Lemon? Of course you didn’t. You don’t miss Chris Cuomo at all. They were thrown out of the chair and forced to demonstrate their appeal absent the branded logo of a CNN. From what I can tell the appeal amounts to “not much, not much at all”.
I’d like to think in a new Trump Presidency, and a new world that he creates, all of the present day talking heads will be sacked in the same way as a Don Lemon.
But I doubt that will happen. Mainstream media is rarely reflective. They think themselves Teflon, and absolve themselves in any part of our current divide.
A Trump Presidency next week would be wonderful, as long as it could be accompanied by a housecleaning across the mainstream media spectrum.
Should that happen you would see my own spirits soar, and I expect the mood and enthusiasm of so many others.
It might even help start to heal the divide.
I believe a housecleaning is planned. Will it please everyone who votes for Trump! No, but it will be better than what we have presently.
