Mr Herman, a ray of hope I have is the unsustainability of the overreach. I listen to a variety of podcasts on the cost of the data centers, the lack of funds to construct and keep the data centers running, how the GPUs need to be replaced every 18months, the lack of any meaningful ROI on $trillions already invested in the AI chatbot infrastructure, how corporations are severely reducing capital outlay to AI tokens and subscriptions, how Meta and Ford are rehiring many of their fired engineers because humans remain essential, and how the AI output is largely garbage and only appropriate for lower level tasks and certainly nowhere near the Godlike omniscience promised. What I see is a severe financial, political, and cultural faceplant of our once great nation. Bills are coming due for which there will be no financial ability to pay, nor political capital to manage a work through. I continue, as I have since the GFC, to "tend my garden" as Voltaire recommended, and develop resilience in my personal life to the best of my ability, in order weather the storms that are certainly coming and are already here. Not sure of the timeframe, but the WEF says 2030, in which case changes should be accelerating in order to meet that goal of universal communism, digital currency, surveillance, Godlessness, and so forth. Godspeed
