On our Current Situation
Where do you find people such as this Ed Gallrein in Kentucky, who would allow themselves to be a stooge to special interest money to run for Congress? How does any man hold pride, and dignity when they know that three billionaires have funded their entire campaign and when they win, they will have to serve these masters? To be their little Toady and Stooge.
Don’t tell me about Ed’s Navy Seal past. Don’t say “war hero”, that is all smokescreen bullshit.
I refuse to respect a man that can have three billionaires assemble millions to invest in a campaign, and then agree to run on their behalf against a beloved incumbent in the district.
Ed Gallrein is the worst of humanity. The worst. And we need to remove him, and everyone like him, from our political system.

We are now aware that it wasn’t Iran that sent missiles into the Indian Ocean toward an American air base, in some demonstration of achieved distance and display of strength and capability. In some indication that Iran is now in possession of ICBM’s that can travel far enough to attack London, pretty much all of Europe, and as close to America as Bermuda.
No.
That was an Israeli false flag. Intended to alarm all of Europe, and London, and even Americans, into thinking that Iran is a much bigger threat than they actually are in reality. Attempting to scare “the world” into greater support for destroying Iran, and perhaps even volunteering actual troops and ordinance support.
Days later, in London, a few ambulances were set afire, these owned by Jewish organizations, in some random “attack by Muslims”, a terrorist attack on British soil. Forget the question of why Jewish citizens of Britain have their own ambulance service, they have the same here in NYC. Caused riots in the 1990’s because in an accident in Crown Heights the ambulance driver picked up a wounded Jewish citizen involved in the accident, but left a five year old black boy at the scene who died.
I ask you, what kind of people stages these “false flag” events to engender support for their cause? What kind of people creates false attacks, blames the opposition, to ramp up sympathy for their cause, and promote action based on a false premise?
I have the answer in case you don’t.
The very worst kind of people alive.

This Administration has betrayed the American People. In full.

I am well aware of “battle tactics”, the danger of misinformation in a war, and the importance of having control over the narrative during war time. But we Americans are funding this war, and we have no information flow at all about what is transpiring. None. Is Iran being destroyed? Has Israel even been hit, have any missiles gotten through the “Iron Dome” defense?
We spent a week hearing reports that the Israeli Premier was alive, dead, alive.
The control over information emanating from this contest is an iron grip. I don’t find that to be healthy. We should see the carnage first hand. See what is being done in our name.
The same hands that manipulate this information, are the ones that attempt to manipulate us all in peace time. They always manipulate. War, peace, doesn’t matter.
I want the unvarnished truth. I want real information. I want real time information. This is our tax dollars funding this abomination, we deserve to know how they are being spent, and to what end.

I was a bit early heading out to pick up a friend to attempt to play a round of golf with this horribly damaged back, and frankly feeling pretty rough. Had a back ablation last week, then tripped downtown at the “Fresh Market”, or “Farmer’s Market”, whichever you prefer, and landed smack dab on the pavement on the spot the doctor had just treated. A pinched nerve is not an enjoyable experience, and in my lower back this pinched nerve is “on” full time.
Anyway, being early, I stopped for a quick sandwich and drove by the U-Pic, or whatever the movie theater is called where you get personal service and lay down in a huge easy chair to view a movie. And the place was shuttered. Gone. Done. No more upscale movie theater in Jupiter, no more popcorn service.
I’ll admit, we only went there rarely, most of the movies shown these days are made for little kiddies, or are super hero movies that I have no interest in seeing, I gave up comic books at about nine and that was in 1966.
But it is sad to see the demise of the movie theater. Because it wasn’t an organic demise, Hollywood murdered the movies. Refusing to make actual stories that spoke to the masses of America, but instead choosing to preach to us all.
An era has passed. That of the movie theater. Heading out, sitting in the dark, and being transported into a storyline watching the big screen. On Summer nights way back when, air conditioning alone was a draw. To see a great picture and sit in the cold, dark theater, well that made for a great evening out.
Gone. Somehow I feel that is a shift, a change, and not for the betterment of our society. Time will be required to determine the effect on society, but I feel we’ve lost a component in the cog of life that was an important addition. We’ve lost a thread in the community bonding process. And there aren’t many threads left.

“X” has exploded this week with “DeSantis for President”. Listen up, DeSantis kissed that wall, which should be disqualifying. And he flew to Israel to sign Florida law outlawing speech deemed “antisemitic”. Holy shit, that is practically treasonous. And certainly a violation of the first amendment. We had just today a sheriff in Florida arrest a fellow Florida resident for posting a meme, a meme!, deemed antisemitic.
This can’t happen in America. This is the kind of crap happening in Europe that is incendiary. You can’t get arrested here for a God Damned meme.
All of this is disqualifying for DeSantis. Look, a good administrator, fine.
But DeSantis as President? He is controlled by the same people controlling Trump that got us into this ridiculous war. Wake up, man. Why do we have photos of every American politician kissing a fucking wall overseas? What kind of subservient bullshit is that? No DeSantis. No. New blood, completely.

The anti-war party, the Democrats, are awful quiet right now.

Can anyone tell me what happened with the Somali fraud in Minnesota that ran into the tens of billions of dollars? Any arrests? Deportations?

Right now we have a land where Americans do not want to see the ugly truth. That we now have a fully corrupted system of purchased politicians who are all stealing with both hands, and one party that has facilitated the theft from our treasury in order to bring in new Democratic voters and votes so they can sustain power. Add in that a foreign nation has taken control over all of our foreign policy, our state department, and our national policy, and Americans have lost all control over our government.
Completely. In total.
We may pay the taxes, but proceed spending is out of our control.

Want the “good news”? None of this is sustainable. Debt at 40 trillion is unsustainable. Very soon now, down to just a few years, debt service will eat such a large share of the Federal budget that there will be nothing left to run our nation.
Illinois is already done, operating on Federal funding and fumes. California as a state is right behind. Both have theft programs solidly in place for a Democrat Super Majority and are stealing too fast for the tax dollars to sustain the system. Pensions will soon bring both down.
The end is nigh, as they say. Rapidly moving toward us all. This isn’t the usual conjecture, the usual hysteria, this is just a fact. First states will fall into bankruptcy, and given our level of current inflation there is no way for the Feds to just print money and send it to alleviate the problem without destroying all our buying power. We can’t print our way out of this. Not without creating Germany in the 1930’s, where a wheel barrow full of money bought a loaf of bread.
We sat idly while they all stole too much. Six trillion to forty trillion in just twenty odd years. Wow.
It should be insanity for our Secretary of Defense to ask for two hundred billion more dollars to fight a worthless war we shouldn’t be in, given our debt situation.
We elected an entire slate of thieves. On both sides of the aisle. And soon, very soon, we will all pay a price for this.

Charlie Kirk was murdered by the Mossad who controlled his security detail. Not some “furry lover”. The entire government narrative doesn’t add up. When did this “furry lover” change clothes, where is the rifle as he climbs off the roof, and what is he doing sitting in a fast food restaurant afterward, just sitting around?
An exploding microphone battery pack killed Charlie Kirk. Almost like an exploding pager device. Similar.
Charlie was about to become a very real force against any new wars. Particularly one attacking Iran. And Charlie held sway, millions paid attention to him.
You go believe in fantasy and government lies. After JFK I have no time for that bulllshit.
Who had motive, who had opportunity, and why? “Furry lover” doesn’t answer any of those three questions properly. But Mossad does.

Joe Kent is an American hero. Where is Tulsi? Where is Tulsi?
Resign, Ms. Gabbard. Resign today. Every day you go into the office lends tacit support to this abomination in Iran.

Word leaked from South African leaders that the PGAT and its international friends were attempting to prevent LIV golf from holding a tournament there.
So much for “growing the game” narrative. If the PGAT was attempting to stop LIV, then defacto they were attempting to prevent the growth of golf worldwide.
It was heartening that the tournament was a supreme success, fans came out in huge attendance numbers, and ended in a thrilling finish.
If you support the PGAT against LIV, you are a dumb ass. They are stuffed shirt assholes running PGAT, only concerned with their own wallets, and legacy. I hope LIV puts them all out-of-business.

If you want to tune into the zeitgeist of the under 40 crowd I suggest you go online and view two podcasts. Tim Dillon, and Theo Von. Two stand-up comedians who have found great success in the podcast sphere.
Both have their finger on the pulse of current events. Both speak their mind ungoverned.
Tim Dillon does so with snark, exaggeration, and humor, but still hits the right notes. Theo isn’t as nuanced, he just blurts hard truths.

As doom and gloom as things can appear in America, hope springs eternal. In a small shopping center nearby a few years back, someone finally rented a long vacant store front and attempted to run a small hardware store, that failed. Today I walked by to see they are putting in a Cigar Bar.
A new restaurant just opened beach front nearby, and over “in the ghetto” in the new high rise condo complex on the marina of the intercostal two new places opened. A new steak house, and an upscale sports bar.
Americans are a hearty breed, who, despite a struggling economy and challenges to the average families wallet, still decide to invest in themselves.
As much as I hear the American Dream is dead, my eyes tell me otherwise.

A beautiful morning and a visiting house cleaner chased me to the backyard to write. Apparently we have a spider problem I hadn’t considered or seen. Webs everywhere. I need to spend more time on the patio.

An old friend has decided to set up shop each Winter “up island”, renting for four months in a beach front condo. I live on the South side of the island, 4 miles away.
We worked together 45 years ago, he is a complete and utter character. He is Italian, looks like an extra straight out of The Sopranos. Funny, and perhaps the warmest most generous person I know. But as they say in New Jersey, he will “bust your balls”. We go at it hard sometimes and laugh hysterically.
We have lunch together regularly when he is here, always great to catch up. We have a funny old story about him being confined to the office back in 1982, and me traveling in sales way back when, and him asking me to run an errand to pay off “his lottery tickets”, where he had an arrangement with a liquor store to run his numbers daily, and settle up once a week. I balked, he wailed and began to denigrate me publicly, and it turned into one big argument. I eventually relented, and went miles out of my way to pay off his debts that morning. Of course I did, he was lovable, and you had to help him out, even if it meant going way out of your way. And you had to argue back, or he’d walk all over you.
Almost 45 years later I’m walking to mail a letter here, and call him to remark on the weather. He happens to be walking the island as well, and in my direction, though too far away at the moment to see each other.
Hours later I get a screen shot of his visit to the local bodega, he wanted to show me he purchased 2 scratch off tickets, numbers eleven and twelve.
Since on my walk I’d also visited that same bodega, and purchased two scratch off tickets, I pulled them from my pocket and looked. I had number nine and ten.
What are the odds that 45 years after a big argument over lottery tickets we’d both be 1200 miles South of the place of that argument, and end up purchasing consecutive number lottery tickets?
Life is a strange set of coincidences at times. I lost. My bet is I set him up for the next winners, I lost both of the ones I purchased. And isn’t that my lot in life. I promised myself I’d never buy another lottery ticket. But the walk was enjoyable, the bodega was there….

Local news is all but dead, stations struggling to attract a younger viewership, and maintain some share of ad revenues. Car dealers and election cycle ads aren’t enough to sustain.
Soon even local politicians will join the theft train in politics with a reckless abandon since there is no organization let to hold them accountable.

People must still be pouring into Florida. Condo buildings grow in the area like mushrooms, and last week just around the corner there was a house one day, and gone the next. Bulldozed in a day. I was walking the dog, saw the owner talking to the fire department, wondered what was up. Next night walked the dog, house gone.
So here comes another “tear down” new build. Won’t be long our little bungalow will be the only 1960’s home left in a sea of lot line boxy homes, all white and shining in the sun.

Attended the Farmer’s Market last weekend, place was wall-to-wall people. Thousands of people. A damn good looking crowd too I might add. Can’t hide money.
I was shocked it appeared that the Palm Beach crowd will come across the water to visit downtown West Palm in their slippers and jewelry. Saturday mornings must be low risk. I need to get out more.

Tourists have run the cost of golf up to the breaking point here in Florida. A round of golf should never cost a hundred-fifty-plus at a half-baked muni. Who can afford to play three times a week at that cost? Not that my back would allow. But it was just a few years ago we’d all play here for forty-nine bucks. Cut down flights to West Palm, they’re running prices wild.

Iran may be all the focus, but are we just going to ignore that Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan are being carved up, their people killed, all for some idea of a “Greater Israel Project”? The dumbest regimes in the greater region must be Egypt, and Turkey.
Don’t they realize they are next up?
